In my favorite book on ministry and leadership, Eugene Peterson writes: “Anything creative, anything powerful, anything biblical, insofar as we are participants in it, originates in prayer.”
In a world overcome with power, there is often the power we see — and the power we don’t. For so often, behind the physical power that we can see are spiritual powers we can’t. As Christians who seek to live wisely in the world — full of physical and spiritual realities — we simply cannot navigate this without grounding ourselves in prayer. I sought to address this in my most recent message, based on Acts 16. Give a listen.
